From what we've heard, Chenal Lakes keeps their pools open longer in the year than any other complex (March to November). And they're saltwater pools -- they don't burn my children's eyes, ruin their swimsuits, or irritate their skin.
The exercise equipment in the fitness room is ALL new and top-of-the-line. All the residents we see in there say it's better than any health club (and free!). The walking trails through and behind the property are also well-maintained.
The staff at Chenal Lakes is all friendly and attentive. From leasing to maintenance, they always have a wave and kind word for us when we see them. Ms. Pat in Housekeeping even gives my children stickers and candy!
We've lived in many different apartment communities, and Chenal Lakes "feels" the most comfortable. We're enjoying living here.

That is not true at all. Highland Pointe of Little Rock has a saltwater pool (I toured the residence once)... You sound like management and not a tenant... How would a tenant know (or think they knew) that Chenal Lakes was the first complex to convert to salt water?

The pools are indeed salt water -- the first complex in Little Rock to convert to salt water. The pool linings are all being redone and upgraded this week (April, 2009). This reviewer obviously hasn't been in the Fitness Room lately. ALL of the fitness equipment was replaced with beautiful, top-of-the-line machines. As far as the age of the apartments --- when a renter moves out, the apartments are being renovated and upgraded. When we moved in, we had a choice as to which type of unit we wanted to rent. As far as the pond, it is not intended to be a swimming pool. They are fishing lakes for the residents, and are stocked with fish. I obviously don't know the condition of this resident's apartment when he/she moved out, so I cannot attest to why they needed to utilize his/her deposit.
