When I moved in almost 3 years ago I was so pleased. The staff here went out of their way to help you and it was done within 24 hours - many times sooner. This place has now turned into a joke yet the prices rise. I have had plumbing problems for over a year. It literally took having them come to my apartment 7 times in 7 months after my begging with them promising to replace the toilet. They said there was nothing wrong with it - finally when it flooded they promised a new one which I got 8 weeks later.
The upstairs bathtub must be scrubbed every other day because the rust and dirt come up in it and fill it. Both commodes have been corroded with rust. I told them about a leak in the fireplace and it has been 8 months and I finally removed the buckets - let it warp. The upstairs air conditioner has poured water twice - as you walk on the carpet you hear cracking from the pad that has crunched up. I have begged to have a tree trimmed that ruined my other car with bird droppings. I have told them I have a new white car and to please trim the trees - they say it wouldn't look nice. I guess a brand new 20,000 car is not worth getting stained again - tree trimming is much more important not to do.
The kitchen countertops they are so proud of have the finish that wipes right off or has white blotches - it was cheap stuff and comes off (since it was NOT a countertop but a spray). Don't try calling the office -they never answer. It's May 31 and the pool is still not open. The air conditioners are the most inefficient in the world - my bill will again be astronomical this summer - they will NOT service the units and mine you can't get to the filter. The air contitioner people told me the apt. is to have them periodically checked but they don't.
The security gates break. I flew in from the airport and arrived at 2 AM to a gate that would not open to let me in. I called the "supposed" 24 hour security - left a message that I was a female alone at the gate at 2AM and can't get in. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! Luckily the car that came in after me 20 minutes later was a nice gentlemen and he ripped the top off the security mechanism and got us in.
I have renewed my lease each time but I will NOT be renewing it in November. Just this week I have seen 4 Uhauls in my part of the community loading up to leave. I pay 945.00 per month by myself for a place with "worn carpet, faulty plumbing, horrible kitchen countertops, NO security (that we are promised 24 hour sec. for the price we pay), broken security gates, rude and inefficient office staff, poor and slow maintenance. Does it sound like I like it here'
I used to pay my own water bill to the office - I live alone so it wasn't but about 15.00. They decide to put a flat rate on water now which is much more than 15.00 - seems quite illegal to be charging now for water I don't even use.
