We lived there from November 2000 until December of 2001. There was a dog right outside our balcony that barked CONSTANTLY!! Donnie claimed that she called the owner, sent letters, etc. All turned out to be a lie!! I complained to HER boss and all of a sudden, we didn't pay our pet deposit, even though Donnie had told us that we didn't have to since we lived there before (before Donnie), paid a $500 NRF deposit,and left our previous apartment spotless. Then things started missing our of our file, my application for instance. All of a sudden I was an UNAUTHORIZED tenant, even though I WAS the one that initially filled out the application since my husband was in Lawrence, KS at the time. We complained to the management company, nothing. Everything that comes out of Donnie's mouth is a lie. Beware of this complex!!! When we moved out, Donnie came to walk the apartment with her boss (Who was her friend) and they yanked the carpet up from the walls and turned it inside out. Then they started pointing at every stain and claiming it was ours. I have lived in many apartments and never saw anyone do that. Also, when we moved in only a triangle piece of carpeting at the front door had been replaced, also reaked of cigarettes so bad WE had to have it steam cleaned. Tried to rip us off!!!! LIVE ELSEWHERE FOLKS!!!!! Our electric bill for one month was over $400, yes, $400. I even took it and showed it to the office. The air conditioning broke on a regular basis and blew hot air. When the wind blew, our curtains would blow, even though our windows were CLOSED. The air conditioning condensation would build up in the ceiling and flood our bathroom. The maintenance man would sleep in the vacant apartments when he was supposed to be working. You would step in dog crap everywhere you walked. People stack garbage up outside their apartments and don't clean it up. NIGHTMARE!!!
