We moved into these apartments when they first opened and at first they were an improvement over the other options in town. However, that quickly changed. First, the walls were never painted as the management kept saying they would be. It was just primer on the wall, and you cant clean primer!! So our walls ended up looking really bad around the furniture areas. Second, the door knobs in the apartment did not work, this includes the front door. Just to lock or unlock our door we had to left up on the door knob and you didnt even have to turn the knob to open the door b/c the tab that shuts the door would not come out so all you had to do was push the door to open it. Third, the appliances are NOT ALL NAME BRAND!!! Only the microwave was name brand and the only applicance we did not have trouble with. The dishwasher would not lock all the time so you couldnt turn it on and the fridge kept making strange noises. Fourth, the cabinets in the kitchen were all crooked and none of them had handles or even grooves to help open the doors. I hurt my fingers too many times to count on those dang draws. Fourth, the carpet is beyound the poorest of the poor. It collected stains like it was a hobby and there was no way to get them out. Fifth, there was no insulation around the air conditioner when we moved in so the crap unit could not cool the apartment. When we informed management of this they said the a/c unit did not need insulation around it, apparently they do not have very strenuous hiring practices. About a year later maitenance men showed up UNANNOUNCED and put some crap insulation around the crap a/c unit. This did not help at all, and they left one heck of a mess. Sixth, the blinds on the patio door were put on wrong, at least in our apt they were, so you couldnt pull them up unless you unscrewed the bottom brackets to release the blinds. Seventh, there is no soundproofing at all in these apts. You can hear everything and if you live upstairs watch out for the downstairs neighbors b/c not everyone will let you know its loud. Eighth, the maitiance crew is made up of people that wouldnt know a wrench from a screw driver. They supposedly fixed our washer leak but had to keep coming back to fix it again and again and again and again. So for the money the apartments are not worth the effort. My advice would be to get a apartment at the Greens. Yes they are older and not "gated" but they at least have doors and appliances that work and they have a/c units that will actually cool your place.

well all I can say is I don't have those issues in my place and apartments by the way do not have "sound proofing" have you EVER lived in an apartment. That is not "Primer" that is what is called Flat paint... The management is TOP NOTCH and construction flaws are not their fault! Move to Memphis enjoy the crime and looking everyday to see if your tags have been stolen! That is something to write a whole page to complain about! Oh! and by the way there are pegs at the bottom of your blinds here is how you open them.... PULL OUT THE PEGS AND RAISE THE BLINDS...REALLY?!

Yeah i looked at those pegs and the great construction crew put them in backwards so i had to unscrew them to let the blinds up. And yeah i have lived in an apartment with soundproofing and it was great, so that means any yappy dogs barking or neighbors yelling couldnt be heard. And guess what reread my review i didnt say the management was bad, i blamed the construction not the management so i guess you dont get paid for defending them this time. And even if that paint was 'flat' paint it needs to be updated or put on thicker b/c if you even think about trying to clean something off of it it goes right down to the sheet rock. The Greens have problems but are still better than that place
