My family and I relocated to Maumelle from Michigan because of my job.After looking around for an apartment somewhere in the Little Rock Metro area, we decided to choose Lexington Park. We are very happy with our decision. The apartments are nice and spacious. The Apartment community is quiet, and occupied by mostly young professionals. We've never had any problems with late night parties since we've lived here, and we have lived here for a year. There are a few police officers that live in the community as well, which is reassuring. Not that there has ever been a need for the police to be called since we've lived here. The apartments are fairly new and, like most apartment buildings, were constructed quickly, so there are a few things that need to be fixed every once in a while. The maintenance staff has been prompt and friendly every time we have called them. They have made it to our apartment the same day and either fixed the problem that day or the next. They have always been honest with us, and done their best to fix whatever needs fixing as soon as they are able. The office staff has been great as well. Jennifer is the community manager and is always friendly and helpful. She works very hard to make this community an enjoyable place to live (I've actually seen her planting flowers around the apartment sign.) There are parties every few months at the pool that are fun to attend. Every time someone from the office sees us they ask us how everything is and if there is anything they can help us with. I have lived in various apt. complexes during the last 8 years, and this management staff has been by far the best. There is also a nice fitness center adjacent to the office that has nice exercise equipment (treadmills, various free weights, and machine weights,) which is maintained and kept clean. I use it 3 to 5 times a week, and it saves me the expense of going to a gym. The pool is nice as well. There are plenty of chairs to lay out on and a grill available if you want to cook out (just bring your own propane and clean up after yourself.) Although I personally don't use them, this complex does offer garages and storage closets for rent. Parking has never been an issue for us either. There are plenty of spaces. The office also has a dvd library that you can check out dvds for free.
The only negative is that you can hear your neighbors upstairs from time to time. Not what they are saying, but their foot steps walking around. Its typical of apartment living, and nothing that isn't tolerable. If you can't stand it, make sure to live on the third floor.
I am not trying by any means to say this place is perfect. No place ever is, but if you are looking for a nice, safe, affordable place to live, with a good management and maintenence staff at a good location with some other nice amenities, then Lexington Park is the place for you.
