Think twice before you waste your money!

I currently live at the Ranch at Pinnacle Point, and have been here for about 8 months. At first, I was so impressed with the staff and the apartments in general...they are very big and spacious, great floor plans, in unit washer/dryer etc. I was very quickly brought down to earth after getting settled. First, you have to pay to reserve covered parking spots. Uncovered parking spots are free and open for anyone to park in, but if you pay, you get your own reserved covered parking spot. Well..except there are NO SIGNS up that tell people that those spots are reserved, so there are CONSTANTLY people parked in the spot that I PAY FOR. Management does NOTHING to stop this...in fact, I have been told before, "Sorry, I know its inconvenient, but there is nothing we can do." They will not tow these cars, and they only put notices on the offending cars IF their curtoesy officer happens to be working. Second...in a span of SEVEN thats right 7 DAYS the water pipes in our building burst...rendering our apartment UNDER WATER AND FLOODED completely. This happened because the pipes were NOT insulated properly which IS A BASIC BUILDING CODE VIOLATION. During the two floods, I had personal property damaged including my 400 dollar blackberry. I was told by the apartments management that this was not their problem and good luck buying a new phone. I do have renters insurance so I was able to take care of ordering a new phone, however, since this occured because whoever built these apartments did not obide by building codes, I think they should be responsible. Also because when the first pipe busted, they STILL DID NOT PROPERLY insulate the pipes AGAIN which is why they busted a SECOND time!! As a result of the floods, we have wall damage, drywall damage, carpet damage, stains, etc. in our apartment.
I thought this was going to be a nice, beautiful place to live, but I have been proved so wrong. On top of the issues I already stated, there are basic design flaws with the buildings. The molding around the door jams is uneven and falling apart. The insulation under our doorways fell off the doors the first week we lived there. The paint on our balconey has almost completely peeled off due to sun damage. The tile in the kitchen and bathrooms is slate which looks nice, but FALLS APART in little chunks if you walk over it with shoes on. Also, in our guest bathroom, the water spout was hooked up wrong..."HOT" actually indicates cold water and the "COLD" spills out hot water! You can also hear EVERY step the people in the apartment above you take, their TV, and just them talking! The walls are EXTREMELY thin!
Think twice before you move into these extremely expensive apartments...you will be sorry more than likely.

I completely agree. I lived at the Ranch for a while, and it was horrible. The staff were rude, repairs took forever, and parking was a disaster! The pool is also very shallow....and NEVER clean! A very big disapointment living there...and a very expensive apartment also!

As a current resident of the Ranch, I am going to have to disagree. I have had nothing but great experiences with the staff, and each time I have a problem it is fixed almost immediately. You have to understand that it is an apartment community.. not everything is going to be perfect..
