We refer to them as Ghetto Lake Apartments

I have to say that my stay at Meadow Lake wasn't nice at all. The onsite management is rude, disrespectful, and dishonest. The apartment was horrible, and the maintenance on the grounds and pool wasn't good. The tennis court had enough grass to bushhog. The basketball goals were tore up. The onsite managers tend to be on a power trip and find minor issues to meddle in (ex. upon first notice of telling us not to jump in the pool the male manager said, "IF YOU JUMP IN THAT POOL AGAIN I WILL BAN YOU FROM THE POOL FOR THE REMAINDER OF YOUR STAY HERE!" even though their signs don't say anything about jumping in the pool only "no diving".).
Upon moving into the apartment that was supposedly "ready" for us, we noticed the front door had been broken into and the door jam had not been replaced. The door knob was practically falling off the door (and eventually did). We could not cook with the oven because parts of the interior were melting and smoking up the apartment (probably giving off toxic fumes). We had to call them 4 or 5 times to replace it because they wouldn't take a genuine look at it and treated us as if we didn't know what we were talking about. The dryer took 3 times to dry a load of clothes after repair (before it wouldn't dry at all and we had to hang our clothes inside the apartment to dry). The handles were missing off the refrigerator. There were dead bugs all inside the refrigerator. There were holes in the wall from where an animal had tried to claw it's way out of the bathroom. The shower doors fell off the hinges as well as the closet door in one of the bedrooms. Trim was missing. The acoustic was falling off the ceiling. The electrical outlets were falling out of the walls. [My personal opinion, I wouldn't be surprised if the onsite management was just keeping the deposits and not repairing the apartments although claiming they were.]
(If I can find the photos of the place when we first moved in I will try to post them at a later time.)
This is not the responsibility of the apartment, but if you are looking for a kid friendly apartment community, THIS IS NOT IT. Parents are so messed up here that they don't even realize their children are roaming the playground with cigarettes and drugs in their mouths. We saw a group of children around the age of 5-7 smoking their parents cigarettes and roaming the grounds unsupervised. Almost all the kids on the playground are roaming around unsupervised while their parents are inside (doped up I would assume).
Lindsey Management in general is crummy and if I had one word to describe my experience with them it would be "theivery". Be sure you check out the leasing agreement. The catch is, if you must leave early and break your lease you have the option of transferring to another Lindsey Apartment complex, or you may pay 1/2 months rent for the remainder of the lease (if over 3 months) or 3 months full rent. This is due at the time of moving out, so you better be rich! Also they do not like to return deposits. They simply give you a print out of every possible maintenance they can think up in order to take all of it. Don't plan on getting it back.
This is coming from giving Lindsey 2 chances to prove that they can be a good business, and I would love nothing more than to see them go out of business and save the financially challenged people of America a lot of headache!
I do not recommend any Lindsey Management community and would never live there again. It is pure stupidity and you will regret your decision to go there. I would recommend them to no one.
