I have lived in Brookhaven Apartments 1 year and plan to move as soon as possible the staff attempts to change the terms of my lease with out notice. The amenities advertised the residents are unable to use and if you do frequent the pool or grounds you are harassed by staff or are forced to listen while other residents are harassed and threaten with eviction. I would not recommend these apartments to anybody. Just recently I was informed no children under 18 are allowed outside their apartment after 10 PM. And when questioned the staff told the parents of the children we can implement and rules we want on private property. They also stated the amenities would only be used by residents at the managements convenience regardless of understandings or agreements made at at time of the lease signing. Every time the Manager and her assistant A.K.A. her sister get near me I can hear the banjo's playing. I strongly suggest nobody signs a lease at this place until new management is found by the owners or a renters association is formed to protect the rights of tenants.

One question...obviously if you have lived there a year already, your lease would be expiring soon, so why not move now? I have lived there for almost 3 years now, and the manager and her assistant (who is NOT her sister...I asked after reading this) is alot better than what we used to have. In my opinion as a renter, yes I am upset that the pool closes at 8 now, but parents that are not watching their children are to blame. I also consulted the local police department and every apartment community has the right to place a curfew on their own property for resident and property safety....I read my lease contract..obviously this person didn't.
