My experience at newport has sucked, and i hope newport reads this. Been here for almost 8 months now and i've gotten 4 five day eviction notices for lack of rent payment and neither were my fault. One time they forgot to add the water to my rent and gave me a eviction notice for that when they found THERE mistake.
Parking sucks, spaces are tight and hard to get. 3/4 of the residents are students so its basically a party place, which makes it not family friendly.
Apartments are dirty/infested. I know of 2 friends that have major cockroaches in there kitchen and I have a grasshopper problem.
Pool is usually dirty and you always find glass in it. Laundry place is also dirty, rarely clean, specially washing machines.
Overall, dont let the pictures you see on websites fool you. Come and see the dump for yourself.

I live at Newport and have been in both a studio and one bedroom. We had a grasshopper problem a lot in our studio and found a couple of roaches, nothing serious. I actually just picked up some of those Black & Decker Electronic Pest Repellers for about $12.99 at Walgreens and haven't had any problems since. I am very cleanly as well, but the couple times I have left food out I was surprised to see the food bug free. I often leave out pizza or crackers on the counter too.
