Absolutely horrible!

Never in my life have I encountered such an incompetent staff. I have had so many problems ever since my roomate and I moved in that I will never live there again. It started when they tried to charge us erouneous tax fees after the first month of living there that were never mentioned on the lease that we signed. They left a note on our door dated 9/11/2007 delivered 9/13/2007 stating that close to $200 was due that day in "various tax fees" and if not paid by the week end - we would be evicted. We came to find out that other residents received the same letter. Being intelligent, I reviewed my lease and as I could not find anywhere on there the mention of these fees, I refused to pay and told them I would sue if we were evicted. We were not evicted. I was given the wrong mail keys and when I went to the office to ask for new, correct ones, they said they'd put a work order in to get me new ones and it should only take a day or two. I asked if there was a master key they could use right then so that I could get my bills out of my mailbox, they said no, that only maintenance has those and that maintenance does not work on Saturdays. When I asked if there was on-call maintenance for Saturday's I was told no. I still have not received mail keys and have called them everyday since and it has been 5 days. We were told before moving in that our carpet would be replaced because the previous tenants smoked and the smell really effected my roomates allergies. The carpet was never replaced and the apartment smells HORRIBLE. When we brought this to their attention, they said that we never asked them to replace it and if we'd like it replaced, we'd have to pay for it. There is hardly any parking anywhere near our apartment that is not covered (for guests) and you only get one parking space per apartment - so either myself or my roomate have to park quite a ways away from the actual apartment as do our guests. The apartment is fairly cheap and we received a great deal price wise but personally - it's really not worth it for all the stress that you will go through. I highly suggest paying a little more to pay for better customer service. Also, they tell you there is free WiFi, there is none what-so-ever. We put in a work order for various items: the shower curtain doesn't stay up, the laudry door won't open, the garbage disposal does not work - we put these items in upon moving in, have lived there 3 months and still haven't seen maintenance no matter how many times we call them.
Again - please understand - we are not difficult tenants - these are all things that we believe are reasonable to ask for and should receive timely attention, at least acknowledgement. We pay our rent, on time everytime - shouldn't that be enough'
