Nice Place, but not worth it.

Please read the updated paragraph below. This is my original message:
I have lived here for almost a year and plan on renewing my lease. I previously lived in the Mountain Park Apartments in Phoenix and would have to say that this is a very nice improvement. The apartment is homely inside. I love that they do not have cheap carpet or white walls; the appearance is pleasing and have never had a problem.
The community is friendly and loves animals. Expect to make lots of friends when you take your dog on a walk.
My only complaint is that the front office is not very technical, although friendly. I once overpaid on rent and it took them two month of my pestering for them to realize it. They pulled out the basic calculator and did everything by hand. You think with how much I am paying in rent they could afford some software to keep track of all that stuff. In that one instance I was little upset that it took two months because they were obviously dropping the ball and not taking care of my concerns. Be careful when working with the front office and document everything as they tend to forget about you.
Probably paying more than I should on rent here, however it is worry free as maintenance is very good at what they do, if you need their service at all.
Oh and one more complaint, there are a lot of bugs. A lot. I probably will get the West Nile Virus from all the mosquitoes. They come and go, between them and the plague of crickets I complained once to the front office and they said they were working it.
Update:
It is time to renew my lease and I will not be staying. The office staff is rude and stupid. They are currently leasing apartments at a lower rate and refuse to renew my lease at the going price. It is MUCH higher than all the apartments in the area. You are better off renting a house as the prices are comparable and you will not have to deal with rude, inappropriate neighbors/office staff. They have let the property grounds go to waste. People allow their animals to defecate all over and do not pick up after them. My husband often finds trash in his truck bed as residents are too pathetic to throw their trash where it belongs. If you plan on talking to the office staff you better look like you own the place. It was my day off, so I was comfortable in jeans and a white t-shirt. Two of the office staff would not acknowledge me and the other one who finally came to talk to me treated me like a cheap disease. The apartment itself is decent, however if you weigh the costs, inconvenience and disrespect from staff, stupidity of staff, and overall atmosphere you will be very disappointed.

I do miss the old front end employees. They knew me by name and always greeted me. The new ones aren't as nice.
