Looks good...but LOTS of bugs & other issues!!

I am extremely disappointed with these apartments that look beautiful on the outside...but come with many problems. When I moved in, I thought the rent was a great deal! But beware...unless you sign a year lease, your "great deal" will SKYROCKET! To the tune of approximately $300 more per month. Of course, when I signed my lease, the gals in the front office "guaranteed" me that it would not raise more than $20-$50 per month. Were they wrong!
The next large problem I have is BUGS, BUGS, BUGS! The largest is cockroaches. I have seen about one large sewer roach daily in my apartment since I've moved in. They come and spray outside every Friday, but with the trash service we have (and the garbage sits on the curbsides all night for the cockroaches to feast), you can't get rid of them. I have also had multiple BLACK WIDOWS, a WOLFSPIDER and tons of other little bugs that I don't even know the name of. I'm not exaggerating. If you don't like bugs...stay away from this complex.
Another issue is the gates around the community. You are paying for a gated community, yet they never seem to work! When I call the office, they tell me that someone is always messing with them and breaking them and in order to get them fixed they have to wait for a service to come repair them. That seems to take days to more than a week sometimes. I think of the entire time I have been there, the gates have worked only 35% of the time.
Is that enough complaints to convince you not to rent here'! If not, maybe when I tell you that we have a man who likes to swim in the nude, that will convince you even more! Overall, very bad apartment experience.
