I am a current resident at DTC, I moved in a year ago and my lease is almost up so I am doing some searching myself, I'll admit, I was in the leasing industry for 6 years and just recently got out of it, and I do have to say that some of these comments are quite harsh and uncalled for. Yes, I have run into a bump or two and butted heads with the girls in the office over the water bills, but like I said, not the end of the world, they are doing their best to solve that issue being as it's not their fault it's the city's.
As far as scorpions go, yes, there may be a few and yes, some apartments may have more than others but what people have to understand is that scorpions are just trying to live their lives just like the rest of gods creatures, my boyfriend is actually an exterminator and scorpions are one of the toughest pests to treat because they are actually only able to be killed by contact with the poison and being that they tend to hide in your walls and in dark places they are hard to catch.
The girls in the office are great to me, they know my name and always greet me with a smile every time I walk in the door even though I have been less than pleasent in the past over the water issue just like everyone else, what we have to understand is there are 3 of them and a few huundred of us and even though we think our complaint about this issue is the only one, you are wrong, they get it from all angles and yet they still do their absolute best to not rip your head off since you are probably the 20th person to ----- at them that day. They take a deep breath and say the same thing over and over again.
Maintenance is wonderful, especially John, he will go above and beyond day or night to help with anything he can. Yes the property has gone through several staff members over the past few years but they seem to have a good solid team right now and they seem more together than when I first moved in.
The only reason I am looking to move is because of the price and unfortunately the economy has put me in a position that I cant really afford the rent anymore but I would probably move back just for the convenience of the location and the gorgeous unique floorplans.
Good luck to anyone that plans on moving there, I'm sure it's not going to be as bad as some of these sour pusses make it out to be.

Since you were not in the same shoes as the people who reported "harsh and uncalled for" feedback, then I guess you don't really know what they've been through. I consider your feedback out of touch with reality. By the way, there's no such thing as a "gorgeous" floor plan here, it's quite ordinary. And yes the girls in the office are little snots. I've lost count of the scorpions I've found in my apartment, compared to other places I've rented it's ridiculous. In OTHER, nicer,newer apartment complexes I've found NO scorpions or large spiders at all. But in this place, you might as well have the exterminator live with you. However I do agree that John is a great guy.

Just because I'm not in the "same shoes" as those having problems, does not neceissarily mean I am out of touch with reality, and how dare you demean my opinion and experience, just because you are unhappy does not give you the right to try to drag every one down with you. I enjoy living here and I will continue to refer everyone i can, even after I move. just because you have had a few "bad" experiences (which are probably severe over-reactions) you feel you have all the answers. Newsflash... EVERYONE HAS A RIGHT TO THEIR OWN OPINION, I'm not taking yours away from you, just stating my pleasant experience instead of focusing on the negative. And as for the girls in the office being "snots" maybe they are snots to you because you are just as unpleasant with them as you are in your writing, I would probably have a sour attitude towards you too.
