When my husband and I originally looked at these apartments, we loved them! We thought they looked nice and were decently priced. We moved in towards the end of 2002, and signed a 14 month lease. As soon as we got into our apartment, the problems began. My husband's bicycle was stolen off of our front deck, it was locked up and everything, the theif cut the lock. We were later told that the MAINTAINENCE MANAGER was caught stealing things from people's balconys, and from inside of their homes. People had their televisions, stereos, dvd players, cds, bicycles, etc, stolen by this man. As I have stated, our bicycle was stolen. We asked the apartment complex if we would be compensated, since this man worked for them. They never responded, even after our MANY, MANY attempts to resolve this issue. The following month, our vehicle was broken into. The theif stole our stereo, broke out 2 windows, and stole my husband's tools out of our car. The sad people who did this, even stole the pennies out of our car ashtray. We contacted the apartment complex to let them know, they showed no care or concern. A few months later, our other vehicle was stolen out of our assigned parking space. The theives took it, and destroyed it. The apartment complex, once again, showed no sympathy. I asked them where their supposed "courtesy patrol" was during all of these incidents, to which they had no response. We are not the only residents that have had problems with crime. Our neighbor was robbed at knife point in our parking lot. He lost his wallet (and all of it's contents), and his vehicle was stolen. These are the incidents of crime that have occured. The other problems we have experienced deal with the residents of the complex. We rarely have the same neighbor for more than 3 months. People are always being evicted or moving. One of our neighbors was continuously throwing large parties, on week nights. We are resonable people, and don't care about weekend parties that are kept under control and relatively quiet after 11 pm or so, but this guy was out of control. He had 50 people at each of his parties, music blaring, and constant physical fights would errupt. His guests would urinate outfront, on our other neighbor's balcony doors and windows. We filed the appropriate complaints with the apartment complex. We were then told that all of the complaints we filed were thrown out because there was not a police report to legitimize our complaints. I then, again, asked where is their "courtsey patrol" ' We try to be good neighbors, and not involve the police when it is not completely necessary, unfortunately, that was no longer an option. When he held his next party,(he held parties 1 to 2 times weekly), we called the police. They responded, and found drunk minors at this 24 year olds home. Then the man himself, began to fight the cops and was arrested. Only then, when the resident fought police, did the apartment complex management get involved. Finally, this gentleman was evicted. We have had many things stolen, seen people robbed, had horrible neighbors, had maintainence problems, and been very disappointed that we ever moved here. Please, don't make the same mistake we did.
