When we first arrived at The Greens about a year ago, there wasn't a kid to be seen (or more importantly in this case, heard). The staff even mentioned to us that kids were a rarity in the complex. Those days have come and gone.

You can now forget about a quiet weekend at the pool, and lately, forget about a quiet evening at the pool either. Since there isn't a park within walking distance and not a lot of grass around, the kids tend to ride their scooters/skateboards/bikes through the streets of the complex and then leave them lying in the middle of the road.

For those with kids aged 5 - 12, this would probably not be a bad place as it seems that more and more kids keep showing up.

The first scorpion may have just been a fluke... Since that incident, we have yet to see another scorpion either in our apartment or on the grounds outside. I was told by the staff that they have a new exterminator that they are using for scorpions, and apparently he's doing a pretty good job.

That's good to hear. I signed my contract the other day so there's no turning back! They also told me about how they spray outside and will come spray inside when I request it, which is reassuring. My guess is that some people see scorpions and some don't. I will hope for the best but keep my eyes open!
