I like Kachina. Been here since October, 2005. I just went into the office today to ask about my rental increase for a new lease. I thought it was a bit much more than the usual $25 increase... this time it was $50. I understood the property manager's explanation but still considered moving. Cost is an issue for me.

But then I started looking at what's available in the same area and boy... was I surprised. A lot of the other places in the area have reports of violence and noise complaints and the cost is a lot higher for similar amenities. I especially love peace and quiet. So for the quiet comfort, property upkeep, we don't have to pay water, trash, or covered parking, we have a heated pool in the winter, I have a washer and dryer in a 1bed/1bath, I think I'm still getting a steal of a deal. When I came into this place I was paying about $590 and with my new lease I will be paying about $670. Compared to what everyone else is offering... I'm going to re-sign.

I love my slightly vaulted ceiling, my apartment stays cool because I get no direct sunlight but there is a small skylight that I just adore in the morning. Only recent problem is... no good cable. We went to a centralized Direct TV multi-user system and I hate the company that's running it out of CA. So I dropped it and just watch local, free TV.

Other than that I like it and plan to stay.

This really seems like it was written by the property manager. I lived in Kachina two different times. It's definately cheaper that the other places in the area, but you're getting what you pay for. The heated pool they advertise might or might not be heated for about 3 months of the year. Great for winter visitors, but the people that actually live here need it heated alot longer than that. The cable is an issue, and it also translates into not being able to get high speed internet. If you live on the second story be careful how loud you talk. If the people below you are in their bathroom they can hear you for some strange reason. Oh walk around sometime when the tree's are flowering if you're planning on moving there as a permanent thing. They smell horrible. It is a very quiet place, and if you have the right neighbors quite kid friendly. We didn't hear much of the neighbors on either side, and the yard work was done at a reasonable time in the morning. And I LOVED the school districts. Great "alternative calendar" which basically means year round. I'd move there again if I needed to be back in an apartment, but a lot of people around me were unsatisfied.

I assure you... I'm not the manager. I still live in Kachina. I have high speed internet through Qwest and the stinkie trees didn't bother me much this past year because they cut them back. It just seems like people are looking for stuff to complain about. I'm in school so the place works for me fine.

I also live at Kachina and i love all of the trees here. i understand about those white flowering trees causing issues with people, but they are beautiful when they are blooming and it only lasts for about a month, minimal compared to having to live somewhere with "desert landscaping" and no trees at all. i also have highspeed internet here, so i don't know who you've been going through but mine works just fine.

I have lived there for 3 years. Every year it gets worse. So many people have moved out because of the manager. She does nothing to resolve any problems. The only thing you get is her relailation if you complain. She will find something to get back at you. Either raise your rent or tell you to move things you have on your patio that has been there for a year and never had been a problem before. The building has cracks, the lights under the covered parking have gone out several times because of some electric problem. Cable is out all the time because of the problem. The shame of it all is that the older people who live there are afaid to say anything because they are afraid they will be evicted.

I moved here from out of state with out even seeing the apartment and consider myself lucky. I have lived here for over a year and have had no problems with the management. I have always found them to be pleasant and whenever I need something fixed, it was done in a timely manner. The cable company that runs the centralized DirectTV does suck, however, I haven't had many problems with them since they switched to the DirectTV system. I have internet through Qwest and have had no problems. Overall, I would reccommend Kachina.

I previously lived at Kachina and I absolutely loved it. The management was wonderful. The only reason that I moved is because I had to move in with my Grandmother to help take care of her. The landscaping is beautiful and if I had to move again I would definitley move back there. I really miss it there. :)

in all these reviews i have read, someone is lying about what really is going on here. I don't even want to consider living here because someone is lying.

This is more fluff by GNS Management. They attack anyone that speaks the truth about their properties instead of actually listening to the problems raised. It is ALL about the bottom line.
