I recently went to this complex to view an apartment home. It was stated that if I left a $150 deoposit on the unit, I would recieve a free ipod. I agreed. Five days later I found out that I was approved for another complex I liked better, and that I was not approved at Lakeview/Waterside. I should say that I was approved, but I would need a co-signer. I declined their offer, and asked how I would get my $150 deposit back. The person on the phone told me that since I was given an offer to live there with certain conditions, that they did not have to give me any money back!! I never signed a lease, or even picked out an apartment, all I did was fill out an application. I find no reason as to why they would hold my money. IF you ask me, it is unethical and highly illeagal. Be cautious with these people!
