I have a friend with 2 kids (21-19).They wanted to go on their own.They explained that the 19 yr. old (female)would only be there a month and desired the lease be only in the 21 yr.olds name(male)They demanded she also pay for a background check.They complied. $40 40 100.00 deposit.The move-in date was on the fiirst of the month.A day later they called the 21 yr.old and told him that instead of $675 per mon. they have to raise it to $720 per.mon...reason a misdemeaner crininal record(3 yrs ago..)They complied with mgt.The day before the move in date they called los arboles and asked if everything was cleared.The boy was told all that is needed was proof of employment (he has been employed 40hrs-52 wks a year for the last 3 years) But mgt.told him he will get the keys the next day.SO on Dec.2 he rented a truck.had it almost loaded when he got a call telling him they have declined his applicaion,but they will return the $100 deposit but not the app.fee($80).The reason was not clear as to why.Even a call to corpoate did nothing.WHAT A RIP OFF

Why are you posting for your "friend." This sounds like BA-LO-NEY!! Good job Oscar Meyer! P.S. it is required by ALL apartment communities that every resident over the age of 18 that is to live in the apartment for whatever time period is REQUIRED to fill out AND PAY for an application.
