I moved into Los Arboles in March and have since had several problems. First off I had a big problem with a running toilet and it took 4 requests to finally get it fixed even though it was a very simple problem. Not to mention the guy I talked to in the office was extremely rude to me.
Then the big problems begin with ANTS. Noticed a few in my kitchen, no big deal, killed them, looked like they were coming in through a hole near window. Blocked up the hole and seemed to take care of the problem. I go away for a few days, come back and find my entire apt infested. Ants everywhere; ruined $100 worth of food. So I spend all night killing ants and throwing out ruined food and call mgmt the next day. They sent out a pest service a few days later. Fast forward to now and they have sprayed but I STILL HAVE ANTS. Seems they are coming in through tiny holes in the baseboards and window sills. I call mgmt again and the girl who was present when I signed my lease answers only now she's not so nice anymore. Once I tell her the whole story she has the nerve to ask me if I went out and bought any pesticides or if I've just been letting ants crawl all over my apartment for days. Unreal!!! Not only do I pay over 800 a month for a tiny "dump" but now I should also spend more money on pesticides because this dump has holes all over the place''' I also asked if they were going to refund me for all my ruined food and was practically laughed at and told " we're not responsible for nature". Then she told me windex works for killing ants. So....let me get this straight...I should walk around with a windex bottle attached to my hip spraying ants constantly'''
I hate this place now. The mgmt are extremely rude and unhelpful, I'm right next to a basketball court where kids play basketball at all hours keeping me up, they over water the grass so much that the place is nothing but a mosquito infested swamp and now tiny ant corpses are filling up my apt FAST. Not to mention the toilet problem I mentioned earlier has started again. I don't even want to call them because they're such -------s I know it won't do any good. Can't wait until March when I can get out of this hell hole. Oh and the purpose of a gaited community is that only the people that live there can get in the gate. Don't think it does much good if the gate is constantly left open. What a joke!!!

I just moved into this community and love it here. The baketball court can be heard from my apartment but on numerous occassions, I have seen the Chandler police driving by and running the park-goers off at 9:45pm because the park closes at 10pm and the lights go off. After 10pm the park is quiet as can be. Haven't had a single mosquito bit and I walk my puppy quite often. Amazingly because this community has a lot of standing water and no mosquitos have eaten me alive! Plenty of pools and a great, relaxing pond out front that is a joy to sit and view with the wildlife. The gate has been a problem since I moved in and is working 30% of the time, open 30% of the time and malfunctioning 40% of the time. Management has been very friendly. I have witnessed a couple of the office staff being verbally abused by a resident and they handled themselves very well. I am sure that when anyone is backed into a corner they will be less polite but I have only had good experiences with the management. The community is old so things do break but maintenance has been amazing especially Joey who is always friendly, outgoing, and there to fix whatever I need done! Pest control is free every Friday and thankfully I have not needed it but have requested it to prevent any ants which seems to be a problem lately. I would recommend this community to anyone who is smart enough to take preventative action and embrace the ying and yang of life. Move in here if you are nice and not one of these complainer negative Nancy's...the apartment next door to me is available and I'm a friendly neighbor!! :)

Update: Talked with the manager today and she aplogized for how rude her staff was and also told me she would take care of ant problem. Interestingly enough, the maint. guy said that most of the apartments have bug problems and that my building is especially bad, and that since he's been there has always had to deal with bug problems. They are trying to caulk all the holes and having someone spray so at least they are trying to take care of the problem, which is something. Hopefully these issues will now be solved so I don't have to deal with the office people anymore. To anyone reading this review; be cautious before moving in. There are a lot of nicer, less expensive apartments right in the same area, and I'm sure any place will have it's issues, but for the price this place is just not worth it. Unless you are like above idiot, then you will think it's great!
