I've been at Pillar for over a year now. I was first in a one bedroom, one bathroom and didn't have many problems. I had 2 scorpions in my unit but considered it was because I was positioned up against an empty lot. The kitchens are EXTREMELY small and there isn't much in the way of storage. I ended up transfering to a larger, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom after my first year and this was a MISTAKE! The apartment was left a MESS - it has taken well over a MONTH for all the maintenance to come in and make the fixes to the unit - from paint fixes to fixing the leaking kitchen sink to having the lighting fixture that was broken fixed. When asked, I keep getting excuses from the office "they just had someone quit". I don't care, I am the tenant and am paying a premium - they expect their rent paid on time, I expect the maintenance fixed in the same timely manner. On top of that, when maintenance does come in, they leave the place a mess! I also went from having one pet to two. I had already paid my pet deposit so I thought I was in the clear. Nope - their pet deposit is $150 PER PET!!!!! However, the lease isn't specific and doesn't state PER PET. The place is a rip off and the office staff is not friendly (especially the assistant manager - she WILL argue with you!). While the units are nice, they will NOT be clean when you move in. I like the location and the floor plans, but I would not recommend these to anyone. Go elsewhere or buy!
