I wanted to wait until I gave my 30 day notice to write a comprehensive review. I lived at San Cierra from July 2003, to Oct. 2005. I had to move to L.A for a job. My apartment was the B-1, which was a huge 1000sqft. It included a modern kitchen with GE appliances, dishwasher, in unit washer/dryer. Also I had a HUGE roman bath tub with sliding doors. My bedroom walk in closet was HUGE. I was on the 3rd floor. My rent in 2003 was around 700, in 2004-2005 it was $675, after I went on month to month in May it was just an increase in 10%, the price was pretty reasonable.
I never had a problem with my apartment, I only called a couple times to replace my a/c filter and they showed up the very next day exactly on time. The management is very accommodating, and they are great. The community is awesome, the complex has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, and a large fitness center, I never used the fitness center which I regret, but it's there.
I don't know why the other reviewer never got her deposit back but I just received my full deposit check from Mark Taylor for $175 with no deductions, because I left my apartment in good condition and not a mess.
You get your own reserved parking space, the complex is always well lit, the mailboxes are pretty secure. I never had any issues with noise, it was almost always pretty quiet since I was on the 3rd floor. Sometimes they are cleaning early around 7am but if you keep your windows shut you can barely hear them. The complex is gated and I only had one problem where I had to replace my gate key because they were updating the key codes to make it more secure. Also i loved having full use of the computer/printer/fax in the business center. :)
I definitely loved living here and wish I could of stayed longer but I had to leave for a job. I recommend moving here because everything about it was great, I never had no problems and the management and community was good.
My only worry was the ghetto apartments next door, Crack Oasis, but thankfully theres a wall that protects us.
I highly recommend San Cierra.

I know about "crack Oasis" I used to live in San Cierra, but do you really think a wall protects us???? Not! You'd be surprised to know that certain things are purchased back and forth from there.

Is there any place safe to live in Chandler and Phoenix? All the reviews I have read on these so called nice apartments sound awful and bad. I am now afraid to relocate from my small town in WV to your area. I would think with the rent being so high that a decent group of people would live there, especially with the background checks and credit checks? Does anybody know of any safe apartments to live in? Sincerly WV |

The bottom line is everywhere you go in a city will have crime regardless....a great place to live (because alot of my family live in these apartment homes) is called Dobson Towne Center in Chandler. They are gorgeous and quiet and less expensive than San Cierra...I hope these reviews don't scare you, I've lived here my whole life and I love it! Welcome!
