We were tenative about the price of these apartments, and keeping up the rent if anything happened to our jobs (knock on wood), so we scoured the east valley for another place to stay when our lease end was coming up about six months ago.
NOTHING we saw even came close...and we looked at probably 20 other properties in the $800-$1200 range. In the end we happily stayed here. It's safe for us and our small children, the staff is always friendly to us (and we are a mixed race couple, so the "treating people of a different race as others" comment on here floored me -we've never felt that way), the apartment is roomy and beautiful, and one of the only properties we saw with GAS STOVES (important to my husband the chef), the location is great, the maintenance staff are prompt and fix everything right the first time, the grounds are beautiful, the pools are cold right now, but isn't that the point' They'll warm up when it's 115 all day in the summer, and the front pool has a heater. The ramadas with picnic tables and BBQ grills are a fantastic place to hang out with friends, and we enjoy nothing better than taking the kids to the pool, watching a game on the TV and BBQing on a Sunday. We live near the tot-lot, and I'll admit that the kids playing get loud sometimes, but they're kids. playing. outside. They're going to get riled up, and they're all inside by 6pm anyhow. We've never had a problem with noise. Also, they're pest control people are spot-on. I've never in 2 YEARS seen a bug or pest in my apartment, on the sidewalks, anywhere around here...and that makes my rent worth it to me.
Before I get jumped on, NO, I'm not a member of the staff -and I doubt that any of the good reviews on here are, (it's like saying than a person who asks to see the manager at a restaurant to COMPLIMENT the staff instead of complaining is an owner of the restaurant. It's silly.) This is a fantastic place to live. We're not in Arizona permanently, but if we were this would be our home.

Neither pool is heated as advertized and the residents ARE paying for the use of these pools...think about it!!

The front pool is heated, but not in the summer. It's on from November to May, I think. In the summer it's hot enough that the sun warms the pools to a great temp (colder than it is outside, but not icy - I like to call it "hotel pool" warm)
