HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE Place

They show you a HIGHLY upgraded model (not anything like what you will actually get). The place is old and stuff is done as cheap as possible. They have the cheapest of everything including thermostats, Hotpoint fridge, stove, dryer (which hasn't been around since the 80s) and everything smells old. The water pressure is terrible- my bathroom sink actually turns itself off while I'm trying to run it to get hot water. Then the water heater sounds like a machine gun and shoots water out sporadically. The parking lot is a mess, I could go on and on about how crappy this complex is, believe me.
They also neglect to mention that there is some weird, LOUD gurgling noise emanating from the bathroom sink every time the air conditioning turns on and continues the whole time it is running. When mentioned to staff, they blow it off saying it's all over the community and they can't do anything about it.
Bottom line, like I've seen others review- I can't wait until my lease it up either.

This review is absolute baloney. I lived in San Tierra for 13 months, and never had any problems like this. I too had water pressure problems, and the maintenence staff responded immediately, and fixed it within 24 hours. I found the staff professional and eager to please. Old appliances? The appliances in my place were less than ten years old, and in good working order. While not top of the line, I can assure you that they weren't the cheap, entry level models either. There has to be some other reason for this perfectly prejudiced review??

No, I simply have standards. I have lived elsewhere and never had such issues. This is a completely unbiased review. I stand by my opinion; that's why I didn't post anonymously and actually used my name. I'm sorry you don't agree but it is far from "baloney". I did report water pressure issues and they 'looked at' but nothing was fixed. Obviously this was written by a staff member of San Tierra- talk about prejudiced. Why would a 'former' renter be on here less than 24 hours after I wrote the review to respond and try to contradict everything I wrote? Coincidence? I think not.

I Currently live at San Tierra and have for 14 months now. I LOVE my apartment. There are some "older" qualities with the apartment, but that is why they offer UPGRADES to those looking for newer appliances, countertops, cabinets, etc. You also complained about the water pressure...my water pressure also does go down SLIGHTLY when at its hottest but is nothing unusual or unbearable...especially, nothing to complain about since you are not even charged for your metered water use, which would be much higher at other communities. These are not cheap apartments, I Never hear my neighbors, I rarely have maintenance issues, and when I do, the office and maintenance team are always very friendly, helpful, and prompt with their response. I take pride in San Tierra's beautiful appearance and its great residential location. I would HIGHLY recommend San Tierra. But, be aware that you are moving into a community that is 20 years old, but be comforted that it is the Original Mark-Taylor community, so a lot of care was put into its creation....and I do not work at San Tierra.

I have the same gurgling noise issues from the bathroom sink, and will admit that it is incredibly annoying and yes, they are unable and unwilling to attempt to fix it. However, for the price these apartments are good. The maintenance with any other issue I've had has been wonderful, the apartment for the price is good, and the office staff has been pretty good. I have lived here for two years and have never had any serious problems. yes, they will show you the upgraded model when you come to look the first time, but they tell you that. They are generally able to show you a nonupgraded one too if you ask as long as one is open. The non upgraded ones are fine too they just don't have the marbley looking countertops and details like that.
