The "negatives" are beginning to outweigh the "positives"

We have lived at San Ventura for about 8 months. We feel that the apartment is one of the best for the money, but there are several troubling items:
The apartment has no security gates, so anyone can come into the apartment complex anytime day or night. Three tenants have had cars stolen from the complex within the past 8 months!
The complex has two pools, but to save money, the pools are rarely heated. Because the pools are so cold, you can only use the pools 2 months out of the year! The pool restrooms are always filthy!
The complex is an adult complex. The complex has NO playground equipment. Families with children should take a hint. However, the complex does sell to families with children. As a result we have unsupervised kids running all over the complex with nothing to do.
On the positive side: The apartments are very will constructed and thought out. Very nice landscaping, but the children destroy a lot of the landscaping because they have nothing else to play on.
