Dog-Cucka City, but a nice place in general

You have to see it to believe it. Piles of dog cucka everywhere, I mean everywhere. Just a warning if you decide to move in, it's rampant and you probably should not walk the grounds in flip flops or even dare to brave it barefoot.
The apartments are pretty nice inside and have nice, roomy floor plans, once you get past the disgusting brown paint. Years ago it was a nice light exterior color. I used to drive by and want to move here because of the look, now it absorbs all the heat and the renters pay for it in heavy electricity bills. The dark painted exteriors also makes the walking conditions kind of dangerous at night as the sprinkler system shoots all over the slick sidewalks and it is hard to see where you are going.
The staff is pretty nice and the blonde gal, Heather, has always been a constant. There is a new manager, Jodi I think her name is, who took over Andrea's spot; she could use a bit more training and does not seem to know the definition of customer satisfaction or renter loyalty. We will not be resigning our lease due to her incompetency. If you ask me, I think Heather manages everything and should have been considered acting manager when Andrea transferred.
To be fair, here are the pros & cons of San Ventura:
PROS:
-Fairly quiet neighborhood
-Gated area
-Convenient location to stores and freeway
-Some of the staff seem to genuinely care about you
-Nice floor plans
-Upgraded fixtures
CONS:
-Maintenance is lacking (shown improvement recently)
-Thin walls/floors
-Kitchens could use a little more cabinet space
-Built on a one-way street, have to do U-turns on Ray Rd if you need to go other way
-The permanent stench of curry and curry dishes cooked everynight here
One last word of advice; make sure you get everything in writing and don't piss off the maintenance guys or else you will never get anything done.
