I have lived at this apartment for 3 years....luckily I am getting the heck out! The first year I lived here, everything was great, the management was so friendly. Then management switched over. First incident occured when my mom received a notice on her car saying if she didn't get the tags changed it would be towed. I didn't know it was their responsibility to keep track of when people's car tags needed to be changed but in any case my mom never used that car but panicked when she saw it. She called the office and spoke to two gentlemen both stating if she went and got tags the following day they would not remove her car. Woke up the next morning and yep it had been towed. When the manager was approached she stated there are not two men in that office at all...which is completely untrue, she also stated that no one would have ever said that. I called the tow truck company while standing in the office with the manager in the back ground saying "you cannot bring that car back here, it is our resposibility as a complex to make sure everyone is up to date on their tags." She is definately crazy. The complex reeks of dog poop. They allow every dog there is in the complex, which would be fine but when people do not clean up after their dogs neither does maintnence. It leaves quite the awful stinch! When asked for them to come clean up the rocks along my apartments window where dog poop had been sitting for three weeks and kept piling up, they said they would take care of it, yep they sure did....one week later! I was in the process of looking for a house so I decided to sign another lease, shorter term. I called and they said they would draw up the docs and let me know when to come in and sign. A few days later they called and told me they were ready. Everyday for 4 days I went to the office after work....each time someone telling me an excuse, "they aren't ready yet, oh Jeanette is not here today, the cabinet is locked up, we can't find them..." all different days, all different reasons for why I could not sign the agreement. Following Monday the assistant manager calls my work phone leaving a panicked message stating I must come in and sign immediately or else I would have to do month to month....I called him back and explained the situation, he stated the agreement had been sitting out the whole time, basically calling me out as a liar. Signed the agreement and went on my way. Time once again came around to my lease being up, got the notice on my door of what the new charges would be if I stayed, flyer stated this "because you are such a valued resident your rent will now be 910, 80 bucks more than I previously paid! Keep in mind this is a one bedroom apartment! Luckily my house was done being built, I do admit that I didn't read the contract and forgot you must give a 60 day notice to vacate instead of 30. Well I gave 57 day notice and they are making me pay the full amount of rent, they will not pro-rate it. To prove this manager (Jeanette) is out to screw anyone she can when I called to get the final amount today she said I owed a late charge since I was late in January by 3 days. This is not the case I always put my rent in the drop on the morning of the 1st! She stated to me that there were a lot of people late in Jan. that were not normally late. First of all that has nothing to do with me and second of all that should tell them something right there.....they are wrong! I will make sure I will be doing the walk through with her because I am sure she will try to get everything she can out of me then too! According to this website looks like I am not the only one with the same problem. I want no money refunded or anything like that I just want everyone to be aware of this apartment complex and how they treat their residents.
