Too expensive for the experience

I lived there for a year and management was the worst. They were very rude and just not friendly. When we moved in I made sure to put down every spot I saw on the carpet. The carpet was old and smelled like cat piss. When we moved out the charged us to replace the carpet in the one area I forgot to write down (the kitchen area). How can they charge you for a portion of the carpet if the carpet was old, dirty and smelly from the day we moved in (the day we moved in we pointed out that the carpet was bad). They also charged us for repairs to the carpet at the front door. They said the seeming was coming up at the front door and had to be repaired. I don't understand how they can charge us for repairing the carpet that they had to rip out and change anyway. I do not recommend spending almost $800 a month for a 1 bedroom on this property, you can find something alot nicer for about the same price maybe even less. Plus you will have to put down a big deposit(we had to put down $800 just for the deposit) and when you move out they will keep half.
