I had a positive experience

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
I moved to Arizona about two years ago and this was the first apartment community that I lived in (since i have lived at Ocotillo Springs - B and Lakeview at Ocotillo - C). When I first came out here to look at apartments, Jeannie was very helpful to me and called me twice before I moved in to make sure everything was okay. She has always been really nice and always smiling. The other staff was decent and helpful, but nothing more than average. I did not deal with the property manager very much, but my little interaction yielded a arrogant attitude. The apartments offer some nice floorplans and I really enjoyed my two bedroom because it was really big. The apartment is well lit at night and the grounds are kept fairly well. When you move out you have to give 60 day notice, so make sure you turn that in (most apts in Arizona require 30 days). I did not deal with maintenance very often which I guess is a good thing, but I called them once or twice and there is nothing negative to report. The negative things about this community really are not that bad and are easy to get accustomed to. There is a cricket problem in this community, but there is just a lot of crickets in Chandler. I have seen them everywhere else I have lived. I did not see any of the bad insects though like scorpions or black widows so that was positive. There is only one trash area, so you have to walk a ways or drive your trash there, but I just got used to it. It does stink sometimes, but it is bearable...it is just trash it isn;t supposed to smell good. The only other thing I can think of, is that it stinks sometimes at night because of the cow farm around the block, but it smells in all of Chandler at night because of Duggan's dairy farm. They are good about enforcing dog poop problems and give $100 if you report someone for not picking up and can prove it with a picture or video. There are doggie bags all over the place for residents who do pick up after their dogs. Unfortunately, and I have seen this in other communities, there are people who don't pick up after their dogs. I really liked it and I would live there again. If you are wondering why I did not renew my lease, it was because I wanted something cheaper and they did not offer me a renewal incentive. I figured I did not need to pay $900 for all the space I had for a single guy. uWDgQKY3Vkv8FKIsB8Ax
