My wife moved in towne square last july. I have set up an automatic payment from my bank since last September, ,and it sent out a check to the lease office at the end of every previous month. It worked great until now.
A few days ago I found it didn't charge my bank as usual but the record showed the check was sent. so I called office and I was told they will charge me for over $500 for late fee and court fee(they said they had already sued me for this 10 days late) for not being able to pay on time. What the hell' No notice, no alert, no anything and they just overcharged you coz they can't find your check!

Plus, the apartment is shappy: Hot in summer, dish washer broke down in the first use, water pressure is low, noisy AC, even the door nob is installed mistakenly: you have to lift the door handle countclockwise to access bedroom! I even heard a break-in and rape case not a long time ago in this neiborhood! Now I have to worry about my wife's safe besides covering my wallet...
