Our two vehicles have been towed, because of the pavement project taken place which i did not know about. I had wakened up on Friday morning to go to work, and my vehicle was missing. I was shocked, frightened and confused! I was fined of $169 and had to go down to the towing company at the end of Tempe to pick up my car, not to mention extremely late for work! Basically if your car has been towed due to the pavement project you will be fined and you will be paying out of your pocket, it doesn??t matter if you had parked in your spot or not! I find this unfair and this is why I am taking actions. I am a resident of towne square apartments. I had no idea of this project at all because I was not informed. First of all they had told me in a very rude manner that I should have received a letter in front of my door, they were not concerned of what had happened to me. Which seems to me I am not the only person this had happened to' Well, I did not receive that letter, which is all they count on to notify us of actions to take! What confuses me, why had they not placed signs or the letter in the mail box' If such an important matter was going to happen, why were there no signs in front of the parking lots, or given us a call, they do have our numbers, or knocked on the door we could have moved the vehicles' Throwing a piece of paper in front of the door was the only way we were to be informed! What happens to those that did not receive a letter, or threw that paper away because they thought it was junk like the rest of the stuff we see in front of the door' Or the ones that were out of town' Or the ones that can not read English' I am very disappointed with the way they handled this situation by not informing us in a professional manner. I had gone in the day before to pay my rent and I was not informed or seen any signs of what was going on! I had no clue of what was going on because they had no signs, it was like any other day. Again what frustrates me is why there were no letters in the mail box''' Why were there no signs in the office or in front of the parking lots' Because of their unprofessional thinking, I had to pay out of my pocket $169 which could have gone to my SRP bill, credit card bill or something more important then this! This would have never happened if they had done their job correctly.
