These people misrepresented themselves and stole my money. I went to Cottonwood one afternoon and a young woman showed me around the property. She told me how much the rent would be but didn't write anything down?! I reserved one of their handsome apartments. Then on move in day with the rental truck and movers in tow, the monthly rental price on the lease was $200 more than what had been verbally quoted to me. What was I to do? So I signed the lease. Then we went into the apartment to check it out before we started moving everything in and it looked as if whomever had been there previously, had just moved out that morning. At this point my head was spinning. The movers had another job to get to and the manager was insensitive to what was going on. I decided I didn't want to live in such a place and I decided to go to a hotel to figure out what to do next...and that woman kept my money order. I missed the job interview I had scheduled that afternoon and a happy day had turned dismal. Then I got a lawyer...

Can you not see that you clearly made all the mistakes in this situation? You left without anything in writing then returned and signed a lease that you allege was $200 above your quote. You signed this lease before even viewing the unit. Please explain how anyone is at fault other than you. Do not blame your blatant disregard for detail and self responsibility on others. When you submit a deposit for an apartment, every single community nationwide provides you with some form of documentation to prove it. Perhaps if you were renting a trailer 100 miles from the closest living creature, your story would add up. This site was created to voice actual feelings about true events, not falsehoods from ignorant lazy individuals.

Check your records from 04/01/2001, you blood-thirsty scavenger.
