My roommate and I lived at Alpine Ridge apartments for 3 years. During our time there, we felt as if we were living at party central. Though we were students... we couldn't study at home due to the noise. Management is money hungry, deceptive, and tricky. The area does not feel safe, when walking back to Alpine Ridge from the North side of NAU, you would have to pass through a neighborhood that resembles a shanty town. The area is not well lit at night and there are some questionable inhabitants of the area. On one occassion a lady walked into our apartment and locked herself into one of the bedrooms. The carpet in the apartment that we rented was pretty bad, it is brown shag carpet with holes and some dark stains. We were charged a large amount of money upon moving out due to the condition of the apartment which was still in the same condition as when we moved in. The fees that we paid upon moving out were very questionable, but we just wanted to end the experience so we paid the full amount which was around $500.
