I lived in Alpine Ridge Apts for two years. Yes, management is money hungry; yes, it is noisy; yes, the carpeting is outdated; yes it is next to a semi-sketchy neighborhood. However, 1) I used to live in a house right across the street (S. Fountain), and I can tell you now that it is getting better...more students are moving in...less "crack house" atmospherel 2) The apartments are located RIGHT OFF CAMPUS, and most of the people living there are students...students who like to party just like the people who are "dogging" the apt...so don't be so quick to judge. And, for the record, I studied in my room and still managed to pull off a bio degree with a chem minor. 3) the carpeting is outdated, but, gimmie a break...so are most places. and for the price, u can't beat it! u get mountain views, dishwasher, and washer/dryer (I live in manhattan, and i would KILL for that now, at the rate of $275/mo!); 4) all apartment management co. are money hungry. face the fact. the sooner u realize this, the happier your life will be. just keep all your ducks in a row and no one will be able to f-with u.

So, I say to you, enjoy the sweet life of flagstaff in this apartment complex. if u are in college...this is THE BEST place to be price wise/out of the dorms/next to campus.

note, however, be careful in the winter. the tin roof (for covered parking) slants, and all the snow/water falls into this semi-pit in the parking lot, which immediatly turns into ice. it's a death trap waiting to happen, but certainly one u can get a good laugh out of. well, that and their idea of snow removal (just don't park your car at the end of the lot!!!!!)
