Be careful moving in here. take dated pictures of EVERY DETAIL in the apartment, make sure you get a move-in checklist otherwise be certain they will charge you for every nut and bolt. i think they are thieves of the worst sort, but then what landlords in this town aren't...you have rights as a tenant, make sure you know them. they will try to take your deposit away, but CANNOT UNDER THE LAW DO SO unless you abandon the apartment or fail to write a vacate notice. make copies of every piece of paper. and debbie isn't there anymore, unfortunately, she was great...now it's some horrible woman who reminds you of your friend's abusive stepmom. in the winter they don't take care to make sure tenants don't hurt themselves walking on the ice which accumulates and doesn't melt...you'd think they would put something down to prevent that from happening. you thought wrong. also, maintenance takes months after requests are put in, and usually repairs are done poorly...what a surprise, they could not charge twice for them otherwise.
