I just noticed that Part 1 was either not received or was deleted by someone. It went basically like this..........
We were given a definite move in date. The day before we were told we would have to wait. The next set date was the same thing. On the third move-in date, we were told that the unit had not been cleaned because they could not gat a cleaning person. We were told we could move in if we wanted and they would get someone out the next day to clean. We had no choice as we had to be out of our other place that day. We moved in to a dirty place. We spent an entire day with our friends cleaning the unit. The next day cleaning person never arrived the next day, however several days later , they arrived without notice. Since there was nothing left to clean as we had done the floors, kitchen, oven, stove, showers, toilets, remaining bathroom mess, windows and washed the walls, we sent her away.
We were good neighbors. We made friendships with several neighbors and got along famously with the rest. We never made noise or had an issue with any other tenant.We planted a beautiful flower garden at our expense. Our next door neighbors planted a garden that was not totally dissimilar. They told us the manager had given them credit for beautifying the property. They suggested we do as they did and ask if we could get a credit. We did not expect a credit. That is not why we did the garden but it would have been a nice plus. We told the manager about the flower garden and asked about the credit. She said she would let us know. After several weeks and no reply, we wrote her a note requesting the credit. We never received a reply either written or verbal. The garden was by our neighbors admission a more colorful garden than theirs and certainly worthy, in their minds, of a similar credit. Even if the answer was no, an answer would have been polite.
Shortly after we moved in I began to embrace my heritage. This required me to wear certain garb that clearly identified my beliefs. Up until this point the manager was delightful, pleasant and easy to deal with. I entered the office to ask a question wearing my garb and the manager looked directly at the garb and displayed a look of shock. I asked her if there was something wrong and her reply was (not exact verbatim but nearly so) "Oh, I didn't know you were ______ (religion goes in the blank). Blah,Blah,Blah.... It just got worse from there until we left. Also, we left the place in the same condition we got it in except the floors were not vacuumed and one bedroom door was off it's hinge (not broken, just needed a $2 pin and 2 minutes to put it on. We got $0 deposit back and no explanation either written or verbal.

BUT I MUST SAY TRUTHFULLY THAT:
The places was a good size, the rent was very reasonable, the neighbors were delightful, parking is good and the outside is serene and beautiful. It is a very nice place to live. I would recommend it to others because I heard some good things about the manager. So obviously the problems are not universal. After shopping around we found it to be one of the best bargains in Flagstaff and certainly the best for the price.
