The place has improved over the last six months or so with a new Office Manager & a competent maintenance staff. Owner has repainted the exteriors and redone landscaping (sorta, I guess...) but the interiors were definitely in more need of the attention though i.e. windows, doors, carpeting, flooring, cabinets, appliances, counters, bathtubs/showers all need replacing. Unfortunately as well, the Owner is VERY "tight-cheeked" (to put it nicely!) and quite cold-hearted when it comes to finances. Do not expect to be granted leniency on rent for any reason whatsoever; if not paid in full on the first of every month, they do process the eviction immediately. So, unless you are independently wealthy or financially secure enough to not have to worry once in a while about your bills, then no problem, but other than that, you've been warned! As far as the cost of living goes in Flagstaff, Bear Ridge is about the best deal in town and its location is pretty nice!

The place improving is a under statement, the new office manager is professional, fair and has intergrity, maybe you didn't know the past managers. I don't know the owner so I can't speak to that, but as owner who probaly decides what to charge for rent and has kept then affordable, either student or a family. Thank You
