Wolf in sheep's clothing...

I guess it goes without saying that not everything is as it is cracked up to be...however, when you pay as much as the residents of Canyon Springs do, you'd think we could expect SUPERIOR service.
Not only have repeated maintenance requests gone unanswered, but we were told that there was just "nothing they could do" about our broken washing machine, when the lease specifically states that 24 hour maintenance is available. Curiously enough, nothing could be done on Monday, Memorial Day, but on the following day, I had a brand new washing machine. This is, of course, after the manager told me one of her maintenance men was in Phoenix on vacation, and the other was out fishing.
Then there is the issue with the dogs...constantly howling and barking, and the complaints to the management are to no avail.
The units themselves are very charming in appearance, but the heat functionality is atrocious (my living room must be 90 degrees in order for us not to freeze in the bedrooms). The smoke from my downstairs neighbor billows into our living room every time they use their fireplace, confirming the suspicion that construction is shoddy at best.
The hours of operation are supposed to be 9-5, but there never seems to be anyone available after 4 p.m. The doors are locked, and the lights are out.
The manager lives on the premises, but the maintenance men don't know how to get ahold of her when there is an emergency.
I was also promised a new carpet upon move in, which of course did not happen.
The apartment had been surface cleaned when we moved in, but we found layers of grimy dust on top of every lateral surface, black marks in the tubs and the bathroom floors, cobwebs, and several other unsightly, disgusting things. The manager gave us the excuse that the cleaning lady was "new".
Basically, Canyon Springs is a facade, when it comes to "luxury" living. I could pay the same price and be living in a 3 bedroom house with a yard. When our lease is up, we will move, and never look back. BEWARE !
