I'm in the process of moving to Flagstaff from the east coast, so finding apartments has been a little difficult. I decided to turn to rentnet and saw the Meadows. The first woman I talked to was great. She e-mailed me the applications within 30 minutes and I sent them in instaneously along with a $100 holding deposit.

Unfortunately, their management completely dropped the ball. They called about pay stubs that had already been sent in, they never returned a single phone call, and every time I would try and get ahold of them it was a huge avoidance game.

Finally I called and said I'd like to have my deposit back and that I will not rent from them or any other Real Property branch. (Terrace, Butterfield, and like 3 others I think.) They kept telling me they wouldn't refund it. (Which was riciculous, because in the application it clearly stated that the holding deposit was refundable within 30 days-- It had been two weeks.) FINALLY after I told them I'd get my lawyer involved next time I had to call back, they put the manager from some other apartment on the line to work it out.

Two hours later I get a call from the current manager acting like a 5 year old threatening to tell everyone to never rent to me.


How unprofessional and dumb.
