I wouldn't...

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
Upon my fiance and I moving in to the apartment, I was told I would have to pay a
1400 (1400!!!) dollar deposit due to my lack of established credit. We would have moved elsewhere but the available move-in dates did not work with our move-out date at our previous apartment. Our experience was average in our first 6 month lease. No problems. Staff seemed helpful, although we didnt encounter problems with our apartment. The reason for that being it was vacant for almost a year. So being that everything went smoothly there, we decided to renew but transfer to a two story... which we were charged a 200 dollar hold and then a 200 dollar transfer fee for. We kept being told that the new apartment wasnt ready yet which put us past our lease in the old place. And were charged late move-out fees. With the carpets freshly cleaned, the large stains on the carpets went unnoticed for a few days. But once it had been walked on, we realized the floors were in horrible condition. The walls have patches that went unpainted. The cabinets are dinged up and the counter tops are scratched. Unfortunetly we had to turn in our "repair" sheet before the carpets were noticed. The dishwasher leaked upon use. Maintainance came and "fixed" it on 4 occasions before putting a new one in. The air conditioner (located on the second story) would not cool; this they "fixed" 3 times before it worked. The maintainance guy tracked muddy footprints up and down the stairs. And now the a.c. leakes... thru the floor and down to the laundry room below... Go figure, theyve fixed this problem twice already. And now we have a hole in our ceiling that they wont fix. On top of everything else, rent changes monthly. In our paperwork it states "subject to change". Well, it has. From $920 to $1050. Our "free" cable gets added to rent. Another $30 there. And a $20 fee for having the 20square feet of front yard fenced in. Needless to say, when our lease is up, we are out of here. No reccomendations from me. Looking foward to seeing what theyre gonna charge us for the carpets upon moving out....
