I moved into Forest Ridge out of desperation. There we no other apartments available when I relocated from Tucson. The problems started about two weeks after I moved in. The manager that I had been dealing with left the job and no one in the office seemed to know how to handle my lease agreement or auto rent payments. This caused my rent to be late, because they didn't know how to set up the account or use the software, and they tried to charge me late fees because of their mistake. When I brought this to their attention they cited the "fair housing act" and said there was nothing they could do. Only after I sent a letter and made some calls to the property management company did they agree to credit the money owed. It took them three months to adjust the rent to reflect the credit and that was after constant reminders via phone, email and in person. There was one or two staff members that tried their hardest to be helpful, but the managers (which there were about three different ones during the year that I lived there) were never much help. Now, about the neighbors...they were loud (and you could hear everything) and they had large dogs (against policy) and the smoke from their cigarettes was always coming through the vents. I wasn't the only one in the complex to complain (about the same people over and over) and the management never did anything to fix the problems. It was as though they weren't willing to help unless the request had something to do with money. Long story short, don't rent an apartment at Forest Ridge if you can avoid it. It was not a good experience and I wouldn't wish it on anybody!
