Oh, where do I start' First, i thought these apartments were great when I first moved in until about a week later when the cat pee smell and stains from the previous occupant suddenly came back. When I first looked at the apartment they said that they would clean the carpets(they also decided to removed all the base boards too and not replace them), but I was also told if the smell or stains came back to call and we could come up with a solution. I called the apartments when the smell and stains came back and they said that I could try cleaning the carpets one more time and if it came back again they would replace it or they could just replace it now... I opted to try cleaning it since I did not want to have to move all my stuff back out. That didn't work so I called them back(they switched management in the two weeks between the calls) and they told me they wouldn't do anything about it because there were no notes in my file about it... now i'm stuck with stains on my carpet and i'm going to end up with the charges when I move out in May! Management sucks... so does maintence... they are no help at all! A few months after I moved in I got a notice saying I violated my rental agreement and they threatened to charge me an estra $25 because I had unauthorized items on my patio.... I had a small empty trash can and a chair! Everything in my apartment fell apart when I moved in... my door handles stopped working on my front door and my back door making me unable to get in... thank god they broke at different times. My kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and toilet all leak. My apartment is freezing even if I have the heater on. When is snows alot, forget about be able to drive anywhere... they suck at plowing. This past winter it snowed really good a few times and it took them forever to plow the parking lots... even with everyone complaining.... and when I mean forever, I mean it had snowed two feet, everyone was snowed in in my parking lot, and it took them 5 days to plow my parking lot! 5 DAYS! They had all the other parking lots plowed the first day or two. And another thing with that... they don't plow before 9am, after 6pm, or on the weekends because they are not willing to pay their staff overtime... so if it starts snowing nonstop Friday night for the whole weekend, you are screwed.
The noise is horrible... you can hear every single thing in your neighbors apartment. I understand that I live on the bottom floor so it's expected to hear some footsteps but it sounds like this man is stomping constantly, i can always hear his tv like it's in the other room, I can even hear his phone ring when it's sitting on a table and it's on vibrate. The worst part is having to listen to this 50 year old man and his girlfriend having sex every night... you can hear everything, the squeeky bed, the moans, the groans, everything like they are in the same room.
There is also quite a bit of crime around here... i got a notice from the office saying to keep my car and apartment locked at all times and two weeks after I got that notice my apartment for broken into.
Finally, the utilities is rediculous... these past two month I received my bill it's been saying that I have used $120 in gas alone... that's rediculous! I'm a single girl living alone with her dog, I don't cook every night and when i do it's usually quick stuff, I freeze my ass off at night so I don't have to turn the heater on, and I turn the heater off when i'm not at home... there is no possible way I am using that much in gas alone. It's because they average the utilities out between everyone in your unit... and within the last two month two of the apartment in my unit were rented out and like two or three people are living in each so so suddenly I am having to pay more because more people are living here... I'm pretty much paying for other peoples utilities which is ---.
I hate this place and can't wait til my lease is up in May... i'm going to run away from here, as far as I can.

This is EXACTLY how I feel. I can't wait until my lease is up in June, and a few days after I put in my notice that I'm leaving at the end of my lease, they put a paper in my door that says that I can get a free month's rent if I extend my lease 13 more months.. Ha! They couldn't pay me enough to stay here.
