Good plan; poor execution

It has been a few years since I lived here so some of the problems are different than they are now. But in general it seems that things have stayed much the same.
The rental of individual rooms is a great idea for college students, esp. ones that come in to town without really knowing anyone. The roomate matching service worked pretty well in my case.
The layouts of the 4 bedrooms are nice, but not really designed for 4 individuals. Cooking, relaxing etc. time has to be scheduled out.
The complex was nearly brand new when I moved in so I did not have a lot of experience with maintanance staff. But construction was very poor. And washers and dryers etc. were constaintly breaking down.
The main problem is that it most of the tenants have little regard for others. However, this can be expected for a complex designed for college students. I recommend a bed cover for anyone with a truck. Several times each weekend (which starts on Wed. night at NAU and ends Mon. night) I would have to clear out several half empty beer cans from the bed of my truck.
You can request a "quieter" part of the complex, but that only serves a minimal purpose.
Another consideration is which portion of campus you will be spending time on. It is a reasonable distance to campus itself, but not to where I had any classes.
