All I can say is WOW. Probably one of the worst places i have ever lived. Almost a guarantee to wake up way before you expected, with all of the dogs that constantly bark, which echos through the complex. Do not bother complaining to the management about noise or anything, they are the least helpful people i have ever met. Anytime I go down to pay rent it consists of me yelling and cursing at the manager because they have messed something up. If a washing machine is broken don't bother trying to get your money back from management... it will never happen.

Maintenance, what to say about them. Well to start they just will show up without notice. I have answered the door before in my just my underwear, and ask them to give me 5 min. to get myself dressed. Instead "Julio" will just walk right in like you have said nothing to him. I asked them to fix my dish washer more than a month ago, even with reminding them once a week... its still broken.

We do have wireless internet!! Unfortunately, you are required to pay for theirs, which wouldn't be too bad but it feels like i am back in 1996 using my amazing AOL 3.0. Do not bother trying to cancel their service they will just continue to tell you its included in your bill and you must keep it. The best times to use the internet is between 2am and 4am. I found these to be the best times because all of the college kids are done wanking off to porn and have stopped playing WoW.

Management, they seem to post all of these lovely reviews on this site. Just take anything that they have said and turn it to the negative form. This way you will know exactly what you are getting into. My neighbors constantly listen to the worst music i have ever heard, but not at any sort of decent volume, they must have it at full blast. The walls are basically reinforced construction paper so you will hear anything and everything your neighbors are doing.

Parking is not bad if you own a mini cooper or a motorcycle. They make the spots the perfect size, so when you wake up in the morning you are greeted to small dents in your doors from people hitting them with their door. Most of the students are incapable of parking straight and take 2 maybe 3 spots up.

Take everything management tells you with a grain of salt. Nine times out of ten they have no clue what they are talking about. Be prepared to complain about your rent and utilities, management sometimes will tack extra little fees on your rent bill. I found the best way to get them to remove these little fees is to not leave the office without yelling and saying the F word at 6 times. Any less than 6 and they will just not get the point.

Yea, anyone who posts a positive review for this complex is totally delusional, or most likely deaf. Never in my life have i functioned on so little sleep as the time I spent in this wonderful haven called Highland Village. Cardboard walls is a compliment for what these walls are, when you can hear your upstairs neighbors taking a piss you start to worry about the toilet falling through the roof. When our lease was over, they tried to give us $35 of our $200 deposit back. When confronted with the issue they said it was a "computer" error. Yea sure it was. That took 2 months to sort out and finally get the proper amount refunded. Anyways, hopefully you have moved on to something better by now, Sterling Pointe is a great place if you are looking, more expensive but totally worth it compared to this hell hole.
