In February of 2008, the roof on multiple buildings began to leak.
I was one of the apartments that were blessed with such a wonderful event.
The apartment was in shambles for thee weeks as constructions crews tried to fix the problem.
Our master bedroom, dining room, and living room were non accessible for this three week period.
Our electric bill was at an unheard of amount because the construction crews ran dehumidifiers and two industrial strength fans day and night for five days.
The crews also left our doors and windows open, which caused our heater to be running non stop for the entire time.
The water that was still leaking in was freezing at night and they were icicles in the forming in the bedroom.
I understood the situation, and was pleased that the apartment was only a mess for three weeks and not longer.
Now here is where the situation gets worse.
The Lodge issued a statement to the affected residents in March saying that their insurance was taking care of the matter and that we would be reimbursed for our inconvenience.
It is now September and we have yet to be compensated at all.
I have called regularly to find out what is going on, and I keep getting the same comment every time from management, it will be another few weeks at most.
It has been eight months now and still no reimbursement at all.
I don t understand where they think we as residents are able to front a $300 electric bill, when we were students just scraping by.
I do not recommend this place to anyone based on this experience.
