Going DOWNHILL fast

When I first moved to Flagstaff, I chose Pinecliff off of the Internet, without even seeing it. I moved in and thought it was wonderful. Management was nice and the property was so pretty, nestled in the pine trees up on the mesa. A couple of years after I moved in, the management changed. I believe it was in the fall of 2003 an older couple came in and took over. They ARE AWFUL. They lost my 30-day notice but didn't tell me until I was ready to move out. They asked me for $830 (for a 857 sq ft 2x2 apartment) plus $50 for month to month fees! I told them that I had turned in my notice, stapled to my rent check, and that my rent check had been cashed. They didn't believe me, so I had to pay double rent when I finally moved out of the rathole. I also used to work nights and lights would regularly go out on the property. I would come home late, in the dark, and have to park about 1-2 blocks away and walk in the dark, and THEN walk up the stairs in the dark to get into my apartment. Written requests, phone calls, messages...nothing. It would only get done when I threatened to call corporate. But I also agree with what other people have said about the apartments. NOW that I live in a beautiful, LARGE two bedroom apartment in another area of town, I realize that you really CAN get something for your money in Flagstaff. The apartments are TINY, the walls are paper thin, the heating is inefficient, the rent is TOTALLY unreasonable for the amenities and the property in general. I DO NOT recommend this property. When I moved in, it was beautiful. Just drive by. Weeds everywhere, the balconies are falling apart, most apartments are missing screens and have blankets or shades hanging out of them, the paint is peeling and chipping and the sign is falling over. Bad news, people. Bad bad news. Make sure to do a LOT of shopping first! SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ
