Far overpriced, poorly maintained, and UGLY

Where to start'
Management: Very unprofessional, poorly trained, and downright rude. They seem like nice people, but don't let that fool you. As soon as you have a disagreement you're on their ---- list. Good luck getting them to answer the phone, let alone fix anything within 2 weeks of reporting a problem!
Maintenance: There is only one maintenance man taking care of more than 200 units. Needless to say, the place is in shambles. If you're apartment's not on fire or flooding, he's not going to show up anytime in the next few weeks. Around here, we fix it ourselves or do without. Can't wait 'til our lease is up. Arizona requires that maintenance give you two days notice before entering your apartment - hold them to this law! The management never gives notice, they just show up and expect to be let in.
Landscaping: For me, this is an important aspect of a rental property. I pay $830.00 a month and I can't open my blinds without irritation at the view. Trash piles against the buildings, very sparse and ungroomed juniper shrubs, and cinder rocks that were new in the 70's define this place. There are several "ongoing projects" (holes in the ground) that have been there for about 5 months.
Structural: These buildings were built in the 70's, and they look it. It's been at least 15 years since they were painted, only receiving occasional touch-ups when the badly worn paint peels off the buildings. All windows are single pained, so you can't get near them in the winter without freezing. The buildings are constructed on concrete slabs, making for poor insulation and very hard floors (padding under the carpet is about as thick as a piece of felt). All of the plumbing is encased in the concrete slabs, so if a pipe breaks you'll have live-in plumbers for the 3 or 4 weeks it takes to fix the problem. Jackhammers in your kitchen suck.
Tenants: The management has very lax rental requirements, probably because they know that anyone who can actually pass a credit check would choose to live elsewhere. Consequently, about 80% of the tenants here are filthy, rude, and have no concept of how to be good neighbors. I've had two laundry baskets stolen from the laundry room, and my wife has had at least five pairs of her underwear stolen from the dryers. FIVE. Perverts. There have also been several vehicle break-ins.
Summation: Don't move here. For the amount I pay you could have a NICE apartment over on Country Club Drive, or nearly anywhere else in Flagstaff. Hopefully an appraiser will drop the value of this place, and force a drop in rent.
