Not only did I work at University Roost Apartments but I also lived there for over a year. I know whats avaliable in Flagstaff, and comparativley the Roost is just about average. In my opinion, there is a higher crime rate in that neighborhood, however, management is trying to do something about it. They have 24 hour security, with scheduled patrols at night. They also have a block watch program in effect and have monthly meetings with the Flagstaff Police Department to help keep residents aware of whats going on in the community. And they are part of the "Drug Free, Crime Free, Multy Housing Community" program. This means that when a resident moves in there is a part of there lease that says they guarantee they wont involve themselves or allow any of their guests involve themselves in any illegal criminal or durg activity.. If a crime does occur on the property the Flagstaff Police Department will drop off a card at the office informing managemant of the problem. From there, a police report can be obtained and the problem tenant can be evicted for violation of lease. All of these things help to keep the communtiy a little safer anyway. University Roost is also centrally located. Its within walking distance to schools, shopping, dining, and NAU. The apartments are very affordable, and they almost always have super move in specials. They take noise complaints seriously and always try to maintain the apartment in a timely fashion.
