Seems like a deal till you live there...

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008

The conditions of the apartments are not that good, they claim to paint the rooms every year, but they did not paint between when I moved out and the next person moved in. The screen door was broken when I moved in Aug 2007 and wasn't fixed till June 2008. The cover for our light fixture in the stair well still had not been placed when I moved out after a year of living ther, even though I asked about it every month I went into the office and paid rent (as did my apt mates).

No on is ever in the office during scheduled office hours, and the actual owner of the buildings only comes to do maintenance during the summer months and is a man with a temper who will blow up and swear at residents for insignificant things (not the proper way to run a business).

All utilities are included so it is nice to only have to pay one bill a month for college students, but you can easily find similar offers on craig's list or other similar websites. The washer/dryer are coin operated which I though wouldn't be that big a deal when I moved in, but it really does become a pain when you need to do laundry in the evening, you have no quarters, an no one is in the office.

I did not feel safe in the neighborhood, the mail boxes are not secured lock boxes and there were a few instances when I was living there when my roommates mail had gone missing. At one time mail from all the apt mail boxes had been strewn all over the street by the neighborhood kids (needless to say I didn't have any of my mail sent to this address). The kids from the neighborhood tend to hang around the apt complex stealing bikes or vandalizing the apt buildings.

Parking is good, never had any trouble finding a spot, and noise is reasonable although if you work on the weekends realize that this is a majority college community and there are lots of weekend parties.
