The apartment itself was nice and clean when we moved in but half the outlets inside didn't work, there were only lights in the kitchen (none in living room/bed room), the phone jack in the living room did not work, etc.
It is pretty awful living on the first floor here, the ceiling is so creaky that we literally wake up to our upstairs neighbors walking around carrying out their normal everyday routine. It is something you get a little more used to after time but it is still unacceptable. It is really bad and by far the biggest complaint I have about Woodcrest apartments.
Our apartment is built in a way that causes water to accumulate in a giant puddle right outside of our front door (note that this is specific to our particular apartment and the other people around us do not have this problem). We told management about it and they just said "we know" and nothing further happened.
I am moving out in a month so I put in my month notice the other day and asked about getting our deposits back. When you move out of here you have to get the carpet professionally cleaned otherwise it comes out of your security deposit!..even if the carpet is in fine shape! Also, I asked what the $200 non-refundable deposit we had to put down when we moved in was for and the lady in the office said "I don't really know to be honest". Right..
Do not get NPG cable internet if you live in these apartments..it is super slow.
A positive is that I generally found the management staff helpful and nice people. Also they have recently painted all the apartments on the outside and they look much better now (previously all the paint was peeling).
The price was reasonable for what it was.
Overall I would not recommend these apartments.
