I moved in to the Four Peaks Condominium Homes about 2 months ago. The apartment itself is clean and the design was very nice. The managers are very nice, and responsive to complaints. When I moved in there were a few things (like water pressure) that needed to be fixed, and maintenance came right away and fixed all problems.
The only problem is that you can hear your neighbors too clearly. I live in a middle floor, and when people moved in upstairs it sounded like a herd of elephants whenever they were home. Those people didn't stay very long for some reason. Now I have people living in the apartment below me, and I can hear them clearly. When they get up in the morning (anytime from 4:30 AM to 6:00 AM) the first thing they do is let the dog(s) out. When they slide the patio door shut, it shakes the whole building. This door gets opened and closed 5 - 10 times a morning in about 15 minute intervals. When they take showers, the water running is loud. When they open and shut cabinets and I assume dresser drawers, the banging is loud in my apartment.
I talked to management about the upstairs neighbors, and they were very concerned and said that if the noise didn't stop I could chose another apartment. Since those people left, I stayed here. I haven't talked to management yet about the downstairs people because those people aren't doing anything out of the ordinary, and I don't know what management could do other than move me to another apartment that would probably be just as noisy.
So, in short, great apartment, great management, but thin walls, not built for sound insulation.
